As artists, we often invite viewers to engage with finished works on a wall. But what happens when we open up the dialogue to examine the materials, processes, and natural rhythms behind the art?

I am excited to be co-presenting an upcoming artist talk alongside fellow artist Renata Buziak at the FGS Chung Tian Temple Art Gallery, held in conjunction with our exhibition Between Space and Abstraction. 

Presented as part of Earth-centred programming with the Australian Earth Laws Alliance (AELA), this special artist talk brings together two distinct creative practices to examine how art fosters an ecocentric culture. 

Titled Nature, Memory & Materiality, our session explores how the physical world shapes our creative philosophy:

 Renata Buziak explores the space between seeing and knowing. She invites us to pause before we name what we look at, discovering botanical forms within abstract layers of colour, texture, and emotion.

 Andrea Moser delves into the ancient history and tactile process of encaustic wax, examining how nature’s rhythms mirror human life, memory, and generational legacy within an Earth community.
